My love for fashion started at a young age. I dabbled in retail as a young adult to get my fashion fix before leaving that industry in 2011. At that time, I took a break to focus on my new career in the medical field. While scrubs were my new uniform, I still never neglected my love for fashion. In 2014 I had the itch to create a fashion blog as a creative way to hold on to my fading relationship with fashion. While apparel was falling lower on my list of shopping desires, bags, shoes and accessories were on the rise.

My quest to get information on bags, shoes and accessories always led me down a YouTube black hole, piquing my interest more with each click. I discovered an entire community of Luxury Lovers and suddenly felt like I found my tribe. In June of 2016, I filmed and uploaded my very first YouTube video and I have yet to fall out of love with the experience. YouTube has afforded me creative expansion as well as an ever growing circle of friends across the globe. It has been through this creative outlet that I was able to create a small series, “Weekends With Wil” as well as my clothing line, Mikahson Sport.

Mikahson Sport is the culmination of all things Wil. I am not a workout fanatic but if I DID happen to breeze through a gym, I would want to look great during my time there (lol). While regular sweats and tee’s are not my thing, there is a sleekness to athleisure/performance wear that has always enticed me. So Mikahson Sport is not about being fit, it’s a mindset. It’s having the #WILpower (see what I did there?) to achieve the unimaginable. It’s honing in on that trait or superpower (#WILpower) that makes you unique. Team Mikahson Sport believes that “Where there’s a WIL, there’s a way”. We also believe that whatever your goals are, with WILpower, you CAN and you WIL achieve them! These mantras have led me to a place of happiness and total peace in times as chaotic as these.

In the next few years, I intend to expand the Mikahson brand to include home furnishings, continuing my journey on YouTube as well as living in love and light. I hope that you stick around and join the Mikahson family for what is going to be an unforgettable ride.
